In this lesson each student is asked to conduct a mini-lesson form 3-5 minutes. The session will be videotaped.
The topic of the mini-lesson is up to the student choice, focusing on an area of expertise by the student or an area of the curriculum. The lesson will be shown using the SmartBoard and may include any other technological component. This is a mini-lesson so the time taken to teach the class a concept in this example is secondary to the experience in the use of video in an education setting.
The purpose of this exercise;
provides each student some experience using video in teaching and learning
provide supervision of instruction review for the teacher
add video into evidence
Each lesson will involve all students in the class.
